Lt. Dr. Ashok Hirway has studied for his Master of Technical Science at the Victoria University, Manchester (UK) and has done Advanced Management Programme (AMP) from Harvard Business School. He has done his first LLM from Gujarat University and second LLM from London University. He has also done his PhD,in law, from Gujarat University.
He has a rich experience of working in the textile industry as well as in textile and management related research. He has worked as General Manager in textile mills in India and as Chief Executive and Executive Director of a large group of textile mills in Nigeria. He also headed C L Centre for Management at ATIRA. He has published several papers on technical and management aspects of textiles.
He is one of the founder trustees of the Centre for Development Alternatives, and is currently working as honourary Special Advisor to the Centre.
